Pull Up a Chair: Jumozy Presents Online “Full Body Chair Massage” Continuing Education Course

Full Body Chair Massage CE Course

Relax and pull up a chair. In Jumozy’s Full Body Chair Massage online course (5.5 CE Hrs.), learn from expert massage therapist, Meade Steadman, the in’s and out’s of full body chair massage: techniques, equipment, and how to generate business.

This comprehensive NCBTMB-approved course includes visual, step-by-step video demonstrations of seated massage techniques and how to provide a full body massage as well as address specific complaints: headaches, kinked necks, aching shoulders and back, and carpal tunnel. Steadman also touches on different chairs, tools and setup, dealing with business attire, history, benefits and contraindications, tips for getting started, traveling light, marketing, building your professional practice, and other professional concerns. This course covers everything a massage therapist needs to know to make a living doing chair massage. It’s Chair Massage 101.

The popularity of chair massage has grown over the years. Once called the “Executive Mini Massage,” chair massage is now found in malls, on scenic overlooks, conventions, tradeshows…wherever people gather. According to the American Massage Therapy Association, chair massage is one of the top five modalities being offered.

Portability is one of its attractions for therapists, allowing practitioners to reach people beyond the spa or simply to avoid fixed overhead costs. Steadman also notes that “You can incorporate whatever modality you’re comfortable with: Swedish, Touch for Health, Shiatsu…”

The course is broken down into small, manageable units, with quizzes to test and reinforce knowledge. Video footage pulled from the award-winning The Complete Guide to Full Body Chair Massage (produced by Aesthetic VideoSource) breaks up text with discussions and demonstrations of the procedure. At the end of the course, upon satisfactory assessment scores, students can immediately print out a certificate of achievement.

Student feedback has been positive, speaking to the quality of information, presentation, organization, and overall user friendliness:

“Overall I think the instructor had great knowledge and passion for the subject and I enjoyed it very much.” Anne H.

KEEP THE FLOW GOING:
JUMOZY PRESENTS ONLINE “LYMPHATIC MASSAGE” CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES

Lymphatic massage, used in both the beauty and medical fields, is one of the few modalities that has been extensively researched. It is a primary tool used to manage lymphedema, as well as to maintain good health by increasing blood and lymph circulation.  Since lymphatic massage uses such gentle techniques, it can also be safely incorporated in many treatments, including facials and cellulite reduction.

In Jumozy’s comprehensive online courses Lymphatic Massage for the Body (4.5 CE Hrs) and Lymphatic Massage for the Face & Neck (2.5 CE Hrs), expert massage therapist and instructor, Meade Steadman, demonstrates step by step how to provide lymphatic drainage massage therapy. In step-by-step video demonstrations, Steadman shows the strokes used in lymphatic massage and demonstrates a routine for providing manual lymphatic drainage to promote lymphatic flow. This approved continuing education course also includes benefits and contraindications, an overview of the lymphatic system, getting started, lymphedema, post-treatment recommendations, and how to incorporate lymphatic massage in other modalities.

The lymphatic system is a crucial player in the body’s ability to ward off disease and heal from injury. According to some estimates, up to 70% of chronic illnesses, including cancer, result in part from lymphatic congestion. The lymphatic system works in conjunction with the circulatory system. However, unlike the circulatory system, the lymphatic system has no central pump. Its movement is dependent on muscular contraction, breathing, movement, and manual manipulation, such as massage. Lymphatic massage, also called “manual lymphatic drainage” or “lymph drainage massage”, can increase lymph flow by as much as 20%. By using a sequence of strokes and a light pressure, massage stimulates the contraction of smooth muscles in lymph vessels.

The course is broken down into small, manageable units, with quizzes to test and reinforce knowledge. At the end of the course, upon satisfactory assessment scores, students can immediately download a certificate of achievement and attach it to their resume.

Student feedback has been positive, speaking to the quality of information, presentation, organization, and overall user friendliness:

…I found the course very informative and well outlined.  I thought all of the information given was useful and the images were easy to learn from. The tests assessed knowledge of the course fairly, while still including some details that required you to pay attention during the units.”  Keith C.

I thought this course was amazing and impressive in presentation and the information provided. You have created an awesome class and resource…” Nicole W.
