Description

Advanced Chemical Peels: Microdermabrasion Peels (2 CE Hrs.) F25C

NCEA CE-Approved

In this CE course on microdermabrasion peels, Malinda McHenry, demonstrates complete protocols and step-by-step instructions on how to provide Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid Peels (under a Wood's lamp) with microdermabrasion. A Micro-Sal peel is ideal for oily skin, deep scars, and hyperpigmentation. A Lactic Micro peel expedites the benefits of multiple lactic peels. She helps you properly assess your client's peel requests and choose the appropriate peel, based on the client's Fitzpatrick type (skin's ability to produce pigment), Glogau classification (skin elasticity), and desired results. Malinda also walks aestheticians through basic chemistry regarding pH and percentages of the peeling agents, products and supplies, benefits and contraindications, skin analysis, timing based on erythema and client feedback, neutralizing, recommended treatment series, expected results, and post-treatment care. She also discusses how to deal with raised moles and cold sores.

This continuing education (CE) course is approved for state and national accreditation for continuing education by the NCEA Certified and National Coalition of Estheticians, Manufacturers/Distributors & Associations (NCEA) Commission on Accreditation (COA).

This course is worth 2 CE hours.

Customer Reviews:

“I love your courses.  Very informative!!!! Very thorough, informative, and detailed.  Just like on the previous course, I liked how each peel she listed the differences, the benefits, results, what to watch for, what to use and why, and contraindications to prevent treatment.  Good details on the follow up: checking on the client, home care, and follow up treatments.  Lots of great information. I wish they taught this much information in school on peels and treatments.  I learned a lot.  I look forward to viewing more courses through your company.  Thank you so much!!!!” Bonnie D.

“A great course, very clear and concise in its content and a great easy to understand educator. Malinda doesn’t waffle on, she stays focused and on point through her demonstrations. A professional setting is portrayed.” Millissa R.

“I am very impressed with this course. She was thorough and covered each step with a good explanation.” Renee K.

“Good course overall! I liked the overall class! It had a good flow and helpful info with questions. All I really like to see is that videos continue to be up to date and this one was.” Jennifer M.
