NCEA Certified Requirements

The NCEA Certified Credential is the professional status awarded to a skin care professional that has met the competency standards as set-forth by NCEA's 1200 Hour Esthetician Job Task Analysis. It represents the highest skin care credential available in the United States and adherence to the code of ethics of the profession.

All NCEA Certified professionals are required to maintain (12) Continuing Education units for recertification every 3 years from the date of issue on their credential. The form entitled AFFIDAVIT OF COA APPROVED CONTINUING EDUCATION COMPLETION  must be used to record CE activities.

The NCEA’s Commission on Accreditation (COA) approved Jumozy as a continuing education (CE) Approved Provider.

The Commission on Accreditation was formed to facilitate and supervise the continuing education requirements of the skin care professional for recertification and/or relicensure.

• Provide educational activities that will increase the skin care professional's knowledge, skills and competency.

• Provide local, regional, national and international accredited educational activities, and learning opportunities.

• Raise the standard of educational delivery methods and utilize faculty disclosure(s) to improve quality of educational activities.

• To meet or exceed state regulatory board's continuing education requirements for relicensure.

Provide state regulatory boards a quality commission on accreditation for skin care professionals.

The mission of the National Coalition of Estheticians Association (NCEA) is to define standards of practice through certification and continuing education accreditation in order to represent and advocate for the esthetic profession.

NCEA is protecting your right to practice by...

Providing professional excellence through the NCEA Certified credential
Approving continuing education through the Commission on Accreditation
Advocating to strengthen your voice and position with state regulatory board
