Dry Room Treatments: Body Scrubs Part 2 for Massage Therapists (2.5 CE Hours) B19MC

In Body Scrubs Part 2, Malinda McHenry, a licensed aesthetician and instructor, walks you through the steps of providing two full body treatments in a dry room setting: body microdermabrasion (with a hand-held rotary device and cream with aluminum oxide crystals) and a classic sugar body scrub. (Sugar scrubs are quite different than traditional salt scrubs or other exfoliating body scrubs.)

You will learn all the steps from preparation to the finishing touches that your clients will love. In this instructional course you will learn room and table set-up, supplies, available product types, client preparation, and benefits and contraindications.

You will also learn step-by-step how to apply products, drape and position clients, keep clients warm, stimulate lymphatic flow, remove products in a dry room setting, and provide a post-treatment client consultation.

Presenter:
Malinda McHenry is a licensed aesthetician and cosmetologist with over 20 years’ experience. A co-owner of Ameia Innovations LLC and Bronzed Buff n Bare. Former co-owner of Elite Aesthetics and Academy of Aesthetic Arts, she has also been instructing since 1989. Besides being a business owner, cosmetologist, esthetician, makeup artist and educator she enjoys being a singer-songwriter, seamstress and wardrobe stylist.
