In this paraffin treatment CE course, Award-winning CIDESCO diplomat, Rita Page, demonstrates a paraffin hand treatment and paraffin foot treatment by utilizing a paraffin dip (dipping). She also demonstrates how to use paraffin on the hands and feet by applying while a client is lying down by using plastic bags and paraffin mitts and booties. Paraffin wax for the hands and feet is different than paraffin wax for the face. For the back, she shows how to brush on layers of paraffin wax over gauze and how to apply paraffin strips. Rita also demonstrates cleansing, exfoliation (with sea salt and gommage), treatment cream application, and hand and foot massage.

Presenter:
Rita Page is a Licensed Esthetician/Skin Care Specialist, Cosmetologist and CIDESCO diplomat with decades of experience and a long list of credentials. She has been awarded the top honor of International CIDESCO Diplomat, the most prestigious esthetic credential in the world. She holds a Bachelor degree in Textiles and Chemistry from the University of Arizona.

Miss Page is also a graduate of the Linda Seidel Institute for Corrective Makeup in Baltimore, Maryland; Christine Valmy, Inc. of New York City; the Dr. Vodder School – North American in Victoria, B.C., and the Cosmetology School of Vancouver, B.C. She perfected her makeup skills at the M.G. Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts in California, which is considered to be the most advanced cosmetic training in the country. She has been a beauty therapist and educator at both the world-class Golden Door Spa and Cal-a-Vie Health Spa.

Rita Page founded the Paramedical Clinic, where physicians referred patients for treatment to alleviate the effects of postsurgical conditions, deformities, and burns. She also founded ProLight Aesthetics.

* Per the State of Florida DBPR Board of Cosmetology a cosmetologist and full specialist can massage the head, face, scalp, neck, hands and feet. A nail specialist can massage the hands and feet. A facial specialist can massage the head, face, scalp, and neck. The paraffin work on the back is out of scope of practice for a cosmetologist, facial specialist and full specialist. And hand and foot massage is out of scope of practice for a facial specialist.
